Bob Marley estate releases 'Women Rising' mini documentary

As this year marks what would have been Bob Marley's 75th birthday, the Marley family and Universal Music Enterprises, which handles his Island Records catalogue, have been rolling out a year's worth of content to celebrate the legacy of reggae music's enduring icon.

The second installment in the mini documentary series, Women Rising, was released on Marley's official YouTube channel Tuesday to mark the end of women's history month.

The video features archival interviews with Rita Marley, Bob's wife, as well as new interviews with the other two members of the Marley backup singers the I-Threes, Marcia Griffiths and Judy Mowatt.

This new docu-series follows the release of a brand new animated music video for Redemption Song, and a series of mini-documentaries, collectively titled Bob Marley - Legacy, that began rolling out in February.
