Nightclub operator Corey Todd pleaded not guilty to assault charges Wednesday morning when he appeared before the St. Andrew Parish Court.
Mr. Todd was charged last week with assaulting last season's Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall winner, Devin di Dakta.
Prosecutors reported that in January of this year, Mr. Todd confronted Devin di Dakta at his Taboo Nightclub in Constant Spring, Kingston and demanded that the artiste apologize for using his name in one of his songs.
During the alleged confrontation the artiste was physically assaulted.
Mr. Todd is to return to court on August 22 to answer to charges of assault and malicious destruction of property.
