Just in time for International Women's Day, Sports company Nike has announced the release of sports hijab for Muslim female athletes, called the Nike Pro Hijab.
The sportswear company has been working on the hijab’s design for more than a year, with plans to start selling the product in its spring 2018 season.
The head cover will be opaque with tiny holes to make it breathable for athletes, especially for those in warmer climates.
Nike says it sought the input of several athletes during the creation process.
Nike is the first major international company to embrace the sports needs of Muslim women.
