Jamaican Tessanne Chin stole the again with an wonderful performance of Jimmy Cliff's "Many Rivers to Cross" on The Voice USA live show on Monday.
The Jamaican songstress continued to impress the judges with her rendition of Cliff's classic. Christina Aguilera gushed "You deserve every second of all the love in this room. I knew you were capable of those gorgeous, soaring vocals". Tessane is a member of Adam Levine's team and he had this to say "You’re a wonderful human being and your talent is mind-boggling. I’m so dazzled by what just happened". But it was Ceelo Green who touched Tessane belting out "No woman no cry" Tessane to the delight of many Jamaican's responded "Talk de tings Celo". Celo quipped "We saved the best for last. You’re one of my favorites".
Entertainment website Hollywoodlife.com said Tessanne Chin was this week’s stand-out contestant. HollywoodLife.com wrote "Jamaican songstress Tessane Chinabsolutely stole the show with her mind-blowingly soulful rendition of Jimmy Cliff‘s "Many Rivers To Cross." Is it any wonder why she was crying tears of joy at the end of the episode? Seriously, she’s in it to win it."
Fittingly, Tessanne Chin closed the night with a powerful rendition of Jimmy Cliff‘s "Many Rivers To Cross." The website clearly believes she's a favourite to move on said "One thing’s for sure: She won’t have any trouble crossing over to the top 12!."
