Toni Braxton reveals she underwent surgery due to lupus

Grammy-winning singer Toni Braxton has broken her silence on a recent traumatic and life-threatening health scare that she underwent as a result of living with lupus.

The Breathe Again singer who was diagnosed with the auto-immune disease in 2008, revealed in an interview with People Magazine that 80 percent of the main artery in her heart was blocked last September, constituting an emergency medical procedure.

The Unbreak My Heart hitmaker had a tube that helps to keep the passageway open inserted in her heart and was hospitalized for a few days as she recovered.

Selena Gomez and Nick Cannon are among other entertainers living with the disease.
