The official trailer for Yardie, the movie inspired by a 1992 novel of the same name has been released.
British actor and DJ Idris Elba makes his directorial debut with the film which was partially shot in Jamaica.
The film stars No-Maddz group members Everaldo Creary and Sheldon Shepherd as well as fast rising Jamaican actress Shantol Jackson.
Jackson is known for her starring role in Dahlia Harris' Thicker than Water television series and her role in the popular teen drama Real Friends, aired on TVJ.
Yardie was recently premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and is set in Kingston and Hackney during the 1970s and 1980s.
Yardie is loosely based on a book written by Jamaican-born British writer Victor Headley.
It will be released in the UK on August 24.
