Bahamasair plans to acquire a new aircraft for its fleet every year into 2025.
The airline's Deputy Managing Director, Prince Storr, yesterday added that the airline took delivery of a Boeing 737-700 on Saturday, completing the retirement of its 737-500 fleet this month.
Mr. Storr, who made the remarks at the Exuma Business Outlook, said the airline is in the process of growth and modernization and contended that the expansion of its fleet will lead to an improvement in the airline's bottom line.
He said Bahamasair's impending fleet expansion will likely come with the acquisition of Boeing 737-800s with a seating capacity of 170 passengers.
He added that this decision is directly related to the improvements in tourism that are being forecast.
