The Bird Shack Restaurant has closed its Red Hills Road outlet, just one year after opening on August 1 last year.
The closure, which took effect last Saturday, comes in the face of stiff competition from KFC, Popeyes, and pan chicken vendors, as well as limited parking.
Wayne Cummings, CEO of Arya Group — the parent company of Bird Shack — says the company is actively searching for a new location in or around Kingston and intends to reopen as soon as a suitable site is found.
He adds that Bird Shack's Montego Bay and Ocho Rios branches remain in operation.
