The management of LIME Jamaica is putting a positive spin on the transfer of some of its technical services to international firm Ericsson and the impact on the 305 workers who will be separated from the company.
Gary Sinclair, LIME’s chief executive officer (CEO) is expressing confidence that the displaced employees will be offered jobs at Ericsson.
The company said it selected Ericsson because the global firm has a track record in the telecoms industry with more than 1,000 networks in over 175 countries currently utilising its equipment.
Forty per cent of all mobile traffic worldwide passes through Ericsson’s networks.
