The National training agency, HEART NSTA Trust, says its expansion to St Thomas, will provide new opportunities for people in that parish.

The Trust will have a new location at the Morant Bay Urban Centre, which should be complete by the end of the third quarter of this year.

Dr. Taneisha Ingleton, Managing Director of HEART, told Radio Jamaica News that says the Trust will help to support the talent pool in the parish, to take on business opportunities.

"We are essentially taking the Trust to them, so they don't need to be traversing to Kingston, St. Catherine, St. Ann for these services," she stressed.

She added that a wide range of offerings will be available at the facility: Front desk operations, "everything within the line of food and beverage, (including) chef, back office operations, so that they can develop their skills and competencies to move into the tourism industry."
