iCreate receivership ends today

The receivership involving digital and creative firm iCreate is expected to end today.

Radio Jamaica's Financial Report understands that the company has paid off sums owed to Sagicor Investments, as part of a $24 million bond.

In December 2023, iCreate was placed into receivership for failure to meet its payment obligation under the bond.

The bond was issued in February 2020.

Radio Jamaica News spoke with licensed insolvency practitioner and head of Business Recovery Services Kenneth Tomlinson, who was appointed Receiver/Manager at iCreate.

He confirmed that the company made payment sometime this week, and should be fully discharged into the hands of the company's management.

The listed company is led by CEO and founder Tyrone Wilson.

Earlier this month, trading of iCreate shares was suspended for a second time in less than a year.
