JNBS to convert 5 branches to JN Money Shops

Jamaica National Building Society (JNBS) has announced that it will convert five of  its branches to JN Money Shops starting this Friday.

Phillip Bernard, Executive in charge of  Community Banking and Administration at JNBS,  on Wednesday disclosed the branches to be converted are located at Annotto Bay and Gayle in St. Mary; Falmouth in Trelawny; Lucea in Hanover and Papine in St. Andrew.

He said a recent assessment showed that Jamaica National will be able to serve the communities more effectively by changing the operating strategies at these locations.

The conversions will result in the number of  Money Shops increasing from seven to 12.

Money Shops are geared towards providing quick and convenient service to JN members, including the opening of  savings accounts, foreign exchange trading, bill payments and loan payments.

Mr. Bernard said operational changes being introduced will result in extended operating hours at Money Shops across the island, including Saturday openings.

These changes will take effect on December 10.
