St. Lucia's new minimum livable wage takes effect as PM urges business community to boost productivity

The new minimum livable wage in St. Lucia came into effect today, with Prime Minister Phillip J Pierre urging members of the business community to give their best in the exercise of their work duties.
 
He said they need to improve the level of productivity to remain competitive in the world, as it is the sure and sustainable way of growing the St Lucian economy.
 
Mr Pierre said productivity improvements are a positive-sum game with all stakeholders and the country benefiting.
