Supreme Ventures says its profits grew 64 per cent to J$300 million in the January to March quarter, but warns its shareholders that achieving such robust growth in the future.
The company says profitability could be hit by higher fees and increased tax rates for each lottery game.
Supreme Ventures says its assessment is that the new fees introduced as part of the government's tax measures will cost it 5 million dollars this year which it will absorb.
Despite the better profit situation for the first quarter, Supreme Ventures says revenues were down 9 per cent. Part of the reason was a 4 per cent dip in the sales of its flagship, Cashpot game.
