Usain Bolt climbed 23 places on the Forbes listing of highest earning athletes last year.
Forbes ranked Bolt number 40 on the list, after estimating that he earned US$24. 2 million last year.
That was higher than the US$ 20.3 million earned in 2011.
Tiger Woods was estimated to be the highest earning athlete, with earnings of US$78.1 million in 2012.
