After a hiatus from Jamaica following the closure of the country's borders due to COVID-19 earlier this year, Virgin Atlantic has resumed flights to the island.
A Virgin Atlantic flight from London, carried 192 passengers and 10 crew members to the Sangster International Airport on Friday.
Airport Manager for Virgin Atlantic in Jamaica, Eaton Hubbard, says the airline is planning to send flights to the island twice per week, a number which should increase to three times weekly with the start of the upcoming winter tourist season.
Mr Hubbard added that Virgin Atlantic has put in place several protocols to protect its passengers and staff from contracting COVID-19.
The island's borders were closed to incoming passengers in March to limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus and reopened in June.
