American Grammy-winning R&B superstar, Alicia Keys has made Jamaica her temporary home, as she embarks on a recording project in the island.The songstress, known for several classics such as Falling, A Woman’s Worth and Superwoman arrived on the island on Saturday for music-related purposes.
Media reports say Keys began attending recording sessions at Geejam Studios in Portland.
The studio complex houses three deluxe cabins, a self-contained villa, spa, gym, swimming pool and restaurant.
Additionally, reports claim that the privacy Geejam studios offers assured Keys safe accommodation.
The nature of the recordings that Alicia Keys has engaged in, what projects she’ll work on while on the island or how long she’ll stay have not been disclosed.
Keys has graced Jamaican shores previously; performing on the final night of the 2004 Jazz and Blues Festival and has also collaborated with Jamaican artiste Baby Cham, Movado and Junior Reid.
