Beenie Man released

The police have released dancehall artiste Moses Davis, popularly called Beenie Man, who was taken into police custody Wednesday morning.

Beenie Man was taken to the Hunts Bay Police Station in St Andrew by his attorney but was later released on bail.

The police say Beenie Man was questioned following allegations of gun toting during an altercation last Saturday with graffiti artiste LA Lewis.

According to reports, mourners were leaving the funeral service for Voicemail member Oneil Edwards, when LA Lewis and Beenie Man were involved in an accident.

The reports suggested LA Lewis was bidding farewell to onlookers when he reportedly ran his vehicle into the back of Beenie Man’s sport utility vehicle.

An enraged Beenie Man reportedly slapped LA Lewis.

Guns were also reportedly drawn in the altercation.
