Jimmy Cliff won the Grammy for best Reggae Album at the 55th annual Grammy Awards held in Los Angles Sunday.
He beat the Wailers, Toots and the Maytals, Sean Paul, Sly and Robbie to win the coveted award.
The Reggae Grammy was announced in ceremonies held earlier before the live television broadcast.
However during the live telecast the Rihanna, Sting, and Bruno Mars all honored Bob Marley along with the late singer's sons Ziggy and Damian.
The tribute was a crowd favorite of the night.
