Kingston was going really fast when he crashed, says female companion

More details are emerging about the jet ski crash involving Jamaican-American singer Sean Kingston.

According to Cassandra Sanchez, Kingston’s female companion who was on the jet ski with the singer and who was also injured in the crash, the two "were going really fast" when they crashed into the bridge in Miami on Sunday.

Sanchez told sources that she and another female arrived in Miami on Saturday evening to ride jet skis with Kingston and his friend.

The following day, the four paired up to ride jet skis and apparently began racing each other when things quickly got out of control.

She said both jet skis pulled out of the dock at the same time and they were going so fast they just blasted past them and when they turned a corner and crashed their friends were so far behind them they did not even see them crash.

Sanchez explained that as she and Kingston approached the Palm Island Bridge they realised that they could not go under the bridge, and the singer tried to stop but lost control of the vehicle resulting in the crash.

Sanchez said she woke up in the water in pain as their friends raced over to help them, but Kingston kept repeating the words, "I’m hurting. I’m hurting".

Kingston is still in hospital recuperating while the police continue their investigations.
