A 15-year-old boy has allegedly confessed to the murder of 64-year-old Hyacinth Johnson whose partially nude body was found with stab wounds at the back of her home at Union district in Grantham, Clarendon on July 1.
He was charged on Monday.
The police say the teen was arrested over the weekend and was being interviewed on Monday when he confessed to killing his neighbour.
His court date is being finalised.
It was reported about 7 a.m. on July 1, residents made the gruesome discovery of Johnson's body after she had not been heard from or seen at her church's night service the previous evening.
Police say the woman was killed at the teen's home and her body pulled to the back of her house.
