201 new COVID-19 cases

The Ministry of Health says 201 COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Jamaica on Wednesday.
 
The infections were detected from 3,037 samples, resulting in a positivity rate of 15.5 per cent.
 
Hospitalisations from COVID-19 have declined by three to 117.
 
Six of the patients are severely ill and three in critical condition.
 
Jamaica's death toll since the onset of the virus is now 3,044.
 
The Ministry of Health says two more fatalities have been confirmed. 
 
The deaths occurred in St. Thomas in August and September last year.
