Autopsy carried out on Jamaican woman stabbed to death in Antigua

An autopsy on the body of Simone Whyte, the Jamaican mother of three who was stabbed in Antigua on November 14, revealed that she died from blood loss.
 
Sources told the Antigua Observer newspaper that her aorta was severed.
 
The aorta carries blood from the heart to the rest of the body.
 
With the autopsy over, Miss Whyte's body will be sent to Jamaica.
 
An inquest will be carried out into her death.
 
A man is in police custody charged with Miss Whyte's death.
