Clarendon Police to keep an eye on high schools

With an increase in violent incidents at schools, the Clarendon Police are moving to address the problem by keeping a close eye on several high schools in the parish.

Speaking at the media launch for a Peace March slated for Friday, Deputy Superintendent of Police in charge of Administration for Clarendon, Ian Mowatt said school resource officers will be deployed to the institutions.

He says despite constrains with resources within the police force an extra effort will be made to increase police presence at schools across the parish.

Police personnel will be deployed to Garvey Maceo, Central High, Bustamante High, Vere Technical High, Lennon High and Clarendon College.
