The defence has closed its case in the Mario Deane trial in the Westmoreland Circuit Court.
Two witnesses should have been called Friday morning, but defence attorneys instead opted to wrap up their case.
The prosecution ended its case on Wednesday.
The matter has been adjourned until May 12, when both the prosecution and the defence will address the jury.
Prior to the adjournment, presiding High Court Justice Courtney Daye said there were two reservations on which the court had to rule.
These are an application from the prosecution for the lock-up administration policy of the Jamaica Constabulary Force to be admitted into evidence, and the defence's application to recall former senior investigator at the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) Molly Plummer.
But defence attorney Dalton Reid told the court that following instruction from his client Constable Juliana Clevon, Ms. Plummer is no longer needed.
Constables Juliana Clevon and Marlon Grant and Corporal Elaine Stewart are charged in relation to the death of Mario Deane on August 6, 2014, three days after he was beaten at the Barnett Street Police Station lock-up.
