Jamaica's 2016 Olympic double sprint gold medallist Elaine Thompson-Herah missed out on winning the World Athletics Female Athlete of the Year Award on Saturday.
Mondo Duplantis and Yulimar Rojas were announced as the male and female winners of the 2020 World Athletics athlete of the year award.
Swedish pole vaulter Duplantis becomes the youngest man at 21 years of age to win the award after setting a world record of 6.18 metres at the Glasgow Grand Prix in February.
Venezuelan Rojas was also in record in breaking form indoors after cutting the sand at 15.43 metres in Madrid in February.
The award now makes Rojas the second South American after fellow jumper Caterine Ibarguen of Colombia to win this award.
