Four people were shot and killed and four others wounded in an attack at a bar at New Roads in Leamington, Westmoreland on Monday night.

Three of those killed have been identified as 41-year-old tiler Damion Baker; Odane Scott, otherwise called 'Moses'; and Rocky Lawrence - all from the community.

The fourth deceased is a man known as 'Future' or 'Pa', also from New Roads. The police say he was one of the gunmen and was killed by his cronies.

Two female bartenders of St. Catherine addresses and two male patrons from New Roads were admitted in hospital in serious condition.

According to police reports, about 10:20 p.m.,  patrons were at the Instagram Lounge when a black Toyota Fielder motorcar drove up with four men, including Future, aboard.

All were armed with guns.

They opened fire at patrons who ran in different directions.

Following the shooting, the man known as Future was found inside the bar, with a bullet wound to the back of his head.

The other gunmen escaped in the car in the direction of Bethel Town.

The police say the deceased gunman was clad in a sweat jacket and pullover. He also had gloves on both hands and had eight live .45 cartridges in his pocket.
