Scores of travellers moving between the United Kingdom and Jamaica have been left stranded as flights were grounded, and others delayed, after a fire forced Europe's busiest airport into shutdown.
Operations at Heathrow Airport in London were halted after the fire at a nearby electrical substation cut power at two terminals.
Providing an assessment of the impact in Jamaica, Delano Seiveright, Minister of State in the Ministry of Tourism, said local travellers have been affected since Thursday.
He said contingency measures are being effected to deal with travellers who are stationary.
