Jamaican groups in the United
Kingdom say they will be monitoring a British television
Channel four programme featuring Jamaica's high murder rate as well
as controversial political issues in prime time Friday.
Our London Correspondent contacted Channel Four, which confirmed that the programme would be aired.
The groups indicated that they will be monitoring the programme to ensure that there is balance and fair reporting of situations in Jamaica.
It is further understood that two reporters visited Jamaica recently to uncover allegations of political parties arming and funding violent gangs in return for votes.
The programme is also expected to feature the Jamaican police who are said to have killed more people per capita than almost anywhere else in the world.
