By Prince Moore
Scores of commuters who travel from Half-Way Tree in St Andrew to Spanish Town, St Catherine have been complaining about lengthy delays due to the unavailability of Jamaica Urban Transit Company buses in the evenings.
The commuters told Radio Jamaica News that they have to endure hours of swaiting in long lines at the Halfway Tree Transport Centre in order to get transportation to Spanish Town.
One said the unavailability of numbers 21 and 23 buses at the Transport Centre has been happening for weeks.
Another commuter stressed that it's a major challenge to get home at nights.
Transport Minister, Daryl Vaz had promised that 50 new buses would be added to the JUTC's fleet by the end of last month.
