Noted businessman Mayer Matalon is dead.
Mr. Matalon, died on Friday morning at the age of 87.
RJR news has learnt that he had been ailing for sometime.
He attended Jamaica College and was also deputy chairman of the ICD group.
Mayer Matalon also served as a director of the bank of Nova Scotia Jamaica and its parent company Scotia group Jamaica for 45 years.
Mr. Matalon was married to Sarita and had three daughters and son, Joseph, the current president of the private sector organization of Jamaica.
