Residents of Jack Monday in Denbigh, Clarendon

Residents are crying foul following another fatal police shooting in Clarendon.
Ricardo Washington, a 28-year-old of a Denbigh address in the parish, was killed in a police operation at Jack Monday, Denbigh early Thursday morning.
Reports are about 5:40 a.m., a team went to a house in search of a murder suspect. The police say upon entering the premises, a man ran from the direction of the house.
It was further reported that as the police team attempted to gain entry to the house, they were fired on.
The police returned fire, after which Washington was found inside the house, suffering from gunshot wounds.
He was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police say a 9mm firearm was recovered.
But residents are disputing the report of a shootout.
"We nah nut'n bad fi seh bout di likkle yute weh dem kill ina eh house," a woman cried. "Police kick off eh door; him coulda run [but] him nuh mek no effort fi run. Him stand up dere and mek dem put him pon him knee and kill him," she bemoaned while calling for justice.
Another resident suggested the police did not follow due process, also claiming the cops "just come knock down door and just do whatever dem waan do".
The incident has been reported to the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM).
A state of emergency is in effect for the entire parish of Clarendon. It was declared after eight people were shot and killed and nine others wounded at an event in Cherry Tree Lane, Four Paths on Sunday, August 11.
Since then, the security forces have intensified operations in the parish, resulting in the arrest and charge of two suspects in relation to the Cherry Tree Lane mass shooting. Another suspect was killed in a reported confrontation with the police on August 14.
