The number of skulls found at the old Loyal James Lodge building in Morant Bay, St. Thomas has increased to seven.
A demolition team discovered three more skulls on Tuesday.
The other skulls were found on Sunday and Monday.
Work was halted on Sunday after workers from the St Thomas Municipal Corporation discovered the first skull, other human remains and a coffin inside the building.
Oneil Thompson, Deputy Superintendent of Police in charge of Operations for St Thomas, told Radio Jamaica News that a probe is continuing to determine how the remains came to be in the building.
The St Thomas Police gave the go-ahead for the resumption of demolition on Monday.
