Prime Minister Dr Andrew Holness has announced the imminent appointment of three new senators, to represent the Jamaica Labour Party on the government benches in the Upper House.
The incoming senators are Dr Elon Thompson, Marlon Morgan, and Delano Seiveright.
They will replace Mathew Samuda, Delroy Williams, and Ransford Braham, who all recently quit the Senate.
Dr Thompson is a urologist and former President of the Medical Association of Jamaica. Marlon Morgan is a senior member of the governing JLP's communication team, and Delano Seiveright currently serves as a senior strategist in the Ministry of Tourism.
Mr Morgan and Mr Seiveright both came to prominence initially through Generation 2000, an organization positioned as the young professional arm of the JLP.
