Two die following separate St. Ann crashes on Monday

 
A man who was injured in a motor vehicle crash on the Mammee Bay main road in St. Ann on Monday has died. 
 
He is 31-year-old Martin Simpson of Silent Hill, Coleyville, Manchester. 
 
Three other people were injured in the early morning crash, including a police constable who remains hospitalised in serious condition. 
 
It's reported that about 1 a.m., the constable assigned to the Area 2 Highway Patrol was among a team that stopped Mr. Simpson and another motorist along the Mammee Bay main road.
 
While carrying out checks of their vehicle documents, a Toyota Probox overtook a line of traffic and slammed into the parked cars. 
 
The two drivers and one of the policemen were knocked to the ground. 
 
The two people along with the driver of the Probox were taken to hospital. 
 
It was reported that two passengers fled the scene. 
 
Meanwhile, a man died at St. Ann's Bay Regional Hospital after he was seriously injured in a collision along the Llandovery main road in St. Ann on Monday afternoon.
 
He has been identified as 27-year-old Estashie Grant of a St. Ann address. 
 
It's reported that about 5:20, Mr. Grant was driving a Toyota Coaster bus that collided with a truck.  
 
Mr. Grant reportedly failed to keep left, which led to the crash.
