Two illegal firearms were seized on Tuesday during two separate operations.
The Lucea Police say between 2:00 and 3:00 p.m., lawmen conducted an operation in Claremont district, Hanover.
During a search of a section of an old building, a Smith and Wesson nine millimeter pistol with a magazine containing six cartridges was found.
No one was arrested in connection with the seizure.
Meanwhile, in Old Harbour, St. Catherine, a man was arrested following the seizure of an illegal firearm.
The police conducted a snap operation about 3:50 p.m. on Burke Road.
A .45 pistol with a magazine containing two cartridges was found in an old building.
