The Manchester police are trying to identify a man who engaged them in a shootout on Caledonia Road in Mandeville.
The gunman is alleged to have shot and killed a motorist in the area on Tuesday morning, before barricading himself inside an apartment building and a trading bullets with the police.
The building was breached by members of the JCF's Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team and soldiers.
The man was reportedly fatally shot just before 1 p.m.
Videos of the incident, including live streams, are now making the rounds on social media.
