After being on the run for years, Dwayne Christie, otherwise called 'Cojack', one of St. Ann's most wanted, has been charged for the 2016 shooting death of a man following a fight at a shop in Davis Town, Cascade.
Mr. Christie, who, on Sunday, surrendered to the police and the presence of his attorney, was charged on Monday with murder, illegal possession of a firearm and illegal possession of ammunition.
His court date is being finalised.
The 41-year-old construction work, of Jack's Hills, St. Andrew, is charged in connection with the shooting death of Ronald Gayle in Davis Town, Cascade on September 16, 2016.
The allegations are that Christie and Gayle were at a shop in Davis Town when an argument developed between them.
The argument escalated into a physical altercation.
It is alleged that he left the area but later returned with a firearm, which he used to shoot Mr. Gayle, killing him.
He was subsequently listed by the police as wanted.
