Brave Smilers rallied
from a 25-28 half time deficit to defeat defending champions Waulgrovian Bullets 60-57 in overtime to win the Modern

The Braves won the 3 game series 2-1, despite Oberon Pitterson's award winning performance for the Bullets.
The Bullets through Pitterson was first on the score sheet but the Braves responded with Sasha Dixon hitting from down town.
After that basket, there was a scoring drought for the Braves but tough defence and aggressive plays earned them points on the boards.
Early foul trouble in the first half saw the Braves down 9-6 but they rallied to take the quarter 12-11.
The Bullets however, raced to a 5 point lead early in the second quarter to be up 17-12 but the Braves again came back through more 3 point shots.
The second quarter ended with the Bullets enjoying a 3 point lead - 28-25.
This 3 point lead was reversed at the start of the third half due to 6-0 run from the Braves but the Bullets fought back, replying with an 8-0 run of their own to take a 5 point leading into the fourth quarter with the scores on for a 36-31.
The defending champions still held the lead, 40-36 10 minutes before the end of the game.
The score was 49-47 to the Bullet the minutes before the final whistle however, but the Braves topped the clock with 9.9 seconds left in the games with another 3 pointer from Dixon.
The Bullets could have sealed the fate of the Braves but Pitterson who was sent to the foul line missed one of two free throws to send the game into overtime.
Dixon and Melissa Farquharson then hammered vital threes to give the Braves a 60-57 title win.
Farquharson with 245 points lead the scoring for the Braves with Dixon ending with 16 and Natasia Hall contributing 10 points.
MVP Pitterson had 18 points and 21 rebounds for the Bullets and was backed up by Sasha Gaye Henry with 12 points and Latoya Bidwell who contributed 11.
Pitterson also won the top scorer and top re-bounder awards while the Bullets won five of the individual awards.
