Former champion jockey Dane Dawkins and trainer Gary Subratie stole the show on Saturday's 10-race card at Caymanas Park.
Dawkins booted home a sparkling 5-timer, three of which were saddled by Subratie, including Lexi Lou, the winner of the supporting feature, the Eight Thirty Sprint for native-bred 3 year old fillies over 5 furlongs straight.
Meanwhile, apprentice Garvin Harris made the best of a chance ride to pilot the 3-1 choice Mack And Rome to victory for trainer Saqlain Roman in the feature George Hosang Trophy event over the 5 straight course.
Harris had replaced the injured Jaheim Anderson for the event which was confined to 3 year old and up in the Overnight Allowance category. The 5 year old bay horse covered the trip in 57.4 seconds to win by three-and-three-quarter lengths.
Elsewhere on the programme, jockey Tevin Foster recorded his 400th career win at Caymanas Park by guiding home the 1-2 favourite Tigray Express for trainer Adrian Prince in the 7th event over 6 and a half furlongs. Racing continues on Sunday with a 9-race card starting at noon.
