Former Reggae Boy Deon Burton has extended his deal as Under-23 manager of West Bromwich Albion until the summer of 2022. With the departure of first team manager Slaven Bilic recently, there was some doubt over the future of Burton and other academy coaches.
However, current manager Sam Allerdyce is said to have liked the work of Burton and wants him to continue to help with the development of the academy players.
Burton will also work closely with Allerdyce in promoting academy players to the senior team. The 44 year old has been working with the West Midlands based club since 2018.
