Gayle drafted by Kings X1 Punjab for IPL 2018

Chris Gayle will have a new team in the Indian Premier League as he has been drafted by the Kings X1 Punjab for the 2018 season at the IPL Draft on Sunday. He was purchased for US $312, 000 and the Kings X1 were able to get their target as they were the only side who put a bid in for the T20 superstar.

The Kings X1 Junjab's best finish in an IPL season was a runner-up position in 2014. This is the third IPL team Gayle will be representing after starting out with the Kolkata Knight Riders back in 2008. The IPL bowls off on April 7.
