Jamaican basketball player reaping success in America

 Jamaican forward Samardo Samuels of St. Benedicts Primary in the United States has been named a McDonald's All-American.

He will play in the annual high school All-Star game on March 26th, at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee.

Samuels is ranked as the number 2 prospect in the nation in the ESPN 150 and the scoutdotcom (scout.com) class of 2008 rankings.

The McDonald's All-American team is the best-known of the American high school basketball All-American teams.

Many of the biggest stars in American basketball have been McDonald's All-Americans.

This includes Baron Davis, Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, Shaquille O'neal, Chris Webber, Magic Johnson, Grant Hill, Paul Pierce, Lebron James, Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Garnett, Amare Stoudemire, Jason Kidd, and Dwight Howard.
