The nation is mourning the death of football icon Allan “Skill” Cole, widely recognized as the Jamaica's greatest football talent.
Cole, who played in Brazil for Náutica in the 1970s, died Tuesday night at the University Hospital of the West Indies following a long period of illness. He was 74.
Cole’s flair and instinct in front of goal earned him the title of Jamaica’s most celebrated player. He also played in the NASL with the Atlanta Chiefs in 1968.
