Jamaican Olympic gymnast to seek spot on Pan Am Sports Athlete Commission

Olympian and artistic gymnast Danusia Francis-Reid is among 8 candidates that are up for election to the Pan Am Sports Athlete Commission.

Four new members of the athletes' commission will be elected to join Amber Josep of Barbados, Isabel Swan of brazil, Melissa Humana-Paredes of Canada, Paola Longoria of Mexico and America Anthony Azevedo who are to remain in the commission.

The voting to elect the four new athletes that will join the athlete commission will be held during the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games.

The results of the election of the four new members will be announced following the conclusion of the closing ceremony of the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games through Pan Am Sports' communications channels.

Jamaica's middle-distance runner Aisha Praught-Leer was recently re-elected to the World Athletics Athletes' Commission after elections during the World Athletics Championships.
