Jamaica College and Haile Selassie booked a semi-final show down against each other in the ISSA Flow Walker Cup knockout competition after contrasting quarter-final victories over Holy Trinity and Excelsior on Saturday.
Jamaica College who are the defending Manning Cup champions, easily dispatched of Holy Trinity 3-0 in the second match of what was a double header at the Constant Spring field.
It was different scenario in the preceding quarter-final as Haile Selassie and Excelsior were locked at 0-0 after full and extra time. Haile Selassie then prevailed 6-5 on penalties.
Kingston College and Bridgeport had booked their semi-final spots on Friday with victories over Wolmer’s Boys and Denham Town respectively.
Meanwhile, defending champions STETHS made it two from two in the ISSA Flow DaCosta Cup inter-zone round after scoring a come-from-behind 2-1 win over Lennon High in Santa Cruz on Saturday.
Holmwood Technical ended 1-1 with Mile Gully in the other zone match. Cornwall College maintained their unbeaten record, blanking Petersfield 6-0, former champions Clarendon College ended 1-1 with Spalding while Dinthill Technical outscored Steer Town 3-2, Spot Valley clipped Godfrey Stewart 1-0, Port Antonio whipped Brimmervale 5-0, Bog Walk squeezed one past Seaforth as did Manchester over Lacovia, Alston blanked St Mary Technical 2-0 while Ocho Rios nipped Fair Prospect 1-0.
