JC stadium officially opened

After years of planning and preparation, Jamaica College's Stadium was opened at 189 Old  Hope Road on Wednesday. The highly-anticipated opening of the Ashenheim Stadium came and brought optimism to various stakeholders. 

The stadium has an eight lane synthetic track and a football field and computerized L.E.D. lighting.

Sports Coordinator at Jamaica College Ian Forbes sees the facility as one that can improve preparation for future events for several sporting disciplines. Prime Minister of Jamaica, Andrew Holness, who delivered the keynote address, anticipates that the facility will play a big role in athlete development. 

Benefactor of the Stadium Michael Ashenheim encouraged the students to continue working hard.
