Jockey Samantha Fletcher suffers broken wrist at exercise

Jockey Samantha Fletcher will be out of action for an indefinite period after suffering a broken left wrist on Monday morning during exercise at Caymanas Park.

Fletcher who resumed riding at Caymanas Park late last year after another stint on the Canadian circuit, sustained the injury when her horse fell backwards on her after being spooked by another horse following a workout. 

Fletcher who was treated at the Spanish Town Hospital, will have an assessment of her recovery next Tuesday at the same facility.
