MVP vs Racers at Utech Invitational Classic

World 100m champion Yohan Blake is one of a host of local stars confirmed to compete at the 5th staging of the Utech Invitational Classic set for April 14 at the national stadium.

 The meet is being billed as the best of the MVP track club  versus the best of racers track club.  This year's 5th staging of the Utech track and field classic is gearing up to be the best ever with the slate of athletes expected to compete at the one day invitational meet.

 Meet manager Paul Francis says the mvp  vs racers type meet has been in the making for a while.  Francis says among the potential clashes could be between Asafa Powell and world champion Yohan Blake who is set to compete in the 100meters.  Racers representative, the former national junior sprinter Kevin Stewart said that their club has no issues with the meet being a Utech/MVP organised event.  2011 World University Games 100m champion Jacques Harvey who has recovered from an early season injury says the meet forms an important part of his programme.   The meet will also cater to high school, prep and primary schools in the relay events. Action gets underway promptly at 5pm with the sprint relays.
