No regional pink ball game for Scorpions this season

Report by RJRGLEANER Communications Group Sports Reporter Renardo Brown

There will be no regional pink ball game for the Jamaica Scorpions at home this season despite one being originally scheduled for next month.

The Jamaica Scorpions’ 4th round regional 4-day game against defending champions Guyana Amazon Warriors will no longer be played as a day/night pink ball contest this March.

A Jamaica Cricket Association (JCA) executive confirmed with Radio Jamaica Sports on Tuesday that the March 5-8 game will now be a day encounter.

It’s understood that the decision was taken by Cricket West Indies over concerns about the lighting level at Sabina Park which is deemed unfit to host night games.
